Bergen Village
Bergen Village rests on Tremont’s Ridge at the corner of West 5th and Literary Road and enjoys an astounding scenic view from its enviable location. Progressive Field, Quicken Loans Arena, and the entire beautiful Downtown Cleveland Skyline provide a picturesque backdrop to the North of the site. Tremont’s architecturally rich churches and landmarks are firmly rooted to the South and West, and the Cuyahoga River and historic industrial valley are located to the East of the site. In celebration of the unparalleled views, the private road within the subdivision is known as City View Drive, and the seven different architectural elevations are named after the seven most characteristic structures that can be observed from the site. From its prime position atop the ridge, Bergen Village offers a panoramic setting, a nostalgic touch of Cleveland’s history, and most of all, a distinctive experience in urban living!
As Tremont’s first gated community, Bergen Village offers the benefits of easy parking within a walkable neighborhood. The residents of Bergen Village enjoy neatly landscaped green spaces and centrally maintained common areas which includes snow removal and lawn care. In the near future, Bergen Village will connect to a vast network of parks and recreation spaces, with the Ohio Canal Corridor’s exciting proposal to extend the Towpath Trail along West 4th Street adjacent to the site. The Towpath Trail currently stretches from New Philadelphia, Ohio 100 plus miles north to Cleveland’s Steelyard Commons development. It will eventually connect with Downtown Cleveland, passing right by Bergen Village.
Keith Sutton and David Territo of Sutton Builders were selected as partners for Bergen Village because of their involvement in and commitment to the Tremont neighborhood. Sutton Builders has constructed over 100 homes in Tremont over the past ten years and continues to maintain company offices on Professor Avenue in Tremont. Sutton Builders is a Section 3 Certified Builder, an Energy Star builder, and a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cleveland. ADA Architects was selected as the designers of Bergen Village because of their successful involvement with distinguished urban housing in Cleveland.
